To reach our goal, we need a Research Assistant with a background in Mechanical / Material Engineering to support us in the R&D stage. It can be part-time or project-based work. Working on this project will be working closely with the founders and will take an important part in this research so that we can set up the foundations to produce commercial amounts of our products in Europe. You will have the opportunity to connect your academic knowledge and research skills with business input and have an incredible learning curve.

WHAT RESPONSIBILITIES ARE WAITING FOR YOU

1. Supporting us in overseeing and improving the R&D process.
2. Performing research and market mapping to identify suitable labs and institutes.
3. Initiating connections and building communication based on our project goals.
4.Preparing reports, relevant documentation and lab requests.
5. Support and coordinate the project development with clients, suppliers and other external parties.
​We are open to considering different work formats and collaboration. The project can develop into a prolonged collaboration. Although you will get all the necessary support from us, any experience or background in Material Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Textile Engineering can be a great advantage.

WHO YOU SHOULD BE

To support your success we will provide you with the necessary guidance and existing market study.
Confidence, problem-solving mindset and entrepreneurial drive will make you the best fit for this role. In addition, the following experience will help you to be the most successful in the role:

1.Educational background in Material / Mechanical Engineering / Chemistry – Master or PhD.
2.Research mindset with strong analytical thinking, and ideally gained already experience in research projects.
3.Interested in and knowledgeable about greentech, sustainability and circular economy.
4.Passion for the topic, learning drive and a ‘not giving up’ attitude – your research drive will support the business scale-up.
5.You are fluent in both English and German.

how you will work

It’s a part job based on individual availability and potentially can be developed to a full time. We work remotely with some team meetings in Berlin. The work requires flexibility for travels (possibly once a month to visit labs, factories or partners) in Germany and abroad).
