WHAT RESPONSIBILITIES ARE WAITING FOR YOU
2. Design the end-to-end Microfactory: you will own the responsibility to design the floor plans for the microfactory demo plant and its execution.
3. Understand profoundly the full process of biomaterials/materials/chemistry processing technology of each product.
4. Analyze, interpret data, and be able to propose hypotheses as explanations of phenomena, and design experimental studies to test (disprove) these hypotheses.
5. Lead and collaborate with others to solve complex problems, explain difficult issues, and build collaboration across the team and internal stakeholders.
6. Conduct process engineering tests and reviews of the design of experiments
7. Research, evaluate, and recommend processing equipment, systems, or methods to develop new products including, where possible, automation, and optimization.
8. Responsible for the preparation of a floor plan for the microfactory demo plant
9. Work with the Founders and R&D team to shape and develop technology and engineering roadmaps.
WHO YOU SHOULD BE
In addition, the following experience will help you to be successful in the role:
1. Background in mechanical engineering is a must. Experience in biochemistry, physics and textile engineering is an advantage.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant industry specifically in scaling up novel processes and technologies (chemical, manufacturing, industrial or mechanical engineering).
3. Proven experience in design and implementation
4. Deep understanding of Design of Experiment and working with the relevant software.
5. Being on top of technology trends; constantly updated and having a learning drive
6. Knowledge and understanding of processes (enzymatic hydrolysis, Fermentation, Distillation, filtration system, Sanitation) are preferred.
7. Business understanding; demonstrated success working cross-functionally across engineering, marketing, and business development.
8. Hands-on experience with analytical techniques and methodologies.
9. You are fluent in English (German is an advantage).
